Vulcan Alpha VA250+160 Dual Element Carbon Fiber Wing

Description

Product Details

Through the addition of an extra element, the Vulcan Alpha dual-element wings provide more downforce and aerodynamic stability compared to the single-element configuration. Designed for versatility, these wings can be installed on any car with the appropriate mounting platform. Our universal carbon fiber wings feature a modular design, allowing continuous upgrades to meet specific racing needs.

Downforce figures vary based on the angle of attack and wing mounting position.

wing profile refers to the shape and dimensions of a wing’s cross-section. The main difference between our wing profile combinations is their size and performance. The wing with the 160 and 320-millimeter chord lengths generates slightly more downforce and offers better stability and control than the version with 160 and 250-millimeter wing depths.

* The wing span is the distance from one end of the wing to the other and is fully customizable at no extra cost. A longer wing span generates more downforce and stability but also more drag. A shorter wing span creates less downforce and drag, which can increase top speed but reduce stability. The choice depends on the desired balance between downforce and speed.

Endplates are vertical panels attached to the tips of a wing. Their primary function is to reduce wingtip vortices, which enhances aerodynamic efficiency. Our wings are equipped with sleek, flat endplates designed to optimize performance.

Uprights are the vertical supports that attach the wing to the car, positioning and securing it at the desired height and angle to ensure optimal aerodynamic performance.

We offer several mounting options for our wings. If you have your own mounting solutions, the wing can be purchased as a standalone unit. However, we highly recommend pairing the wing with our upright options for optimal performance. Our uprights are precision CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and have undergone FEA analysis to maximize strength while minimizing weight. The available options are standard bottom uprights or top “swan neck” mounts. Both types of mounts enable angle of attack adjustments in seven positions, each with 3-degree increments. This allows for a total range of 18 degrees, providing precise fine-tuning of aerodynamic performance. The second element, attached to the main element through the end plates, features a linear adjustment method that allows for a 10-degree range of adjustment.

** The mount spacing is fully customizable at no additional cost. You can specify your preferred spacing on the purchase page. If you’re unsure of the ideal mount spacing, you can leave the space open, and reach out. We’ll assist you in determining the best option.
