Description
The top-level model of our universal line is our dual-element carbon fiber wing, featuring a drag reduction system. As the end stage of our modular platform series, this wing offers incomparable aerodynamic performance and control for the driver. These wings are designed for easy installation on any car equipped with the appropriate mounting platform, ensuring a seamless integration with your vehicle.
A drag reduction system (DRS) in motorsport aerodynamics reduces drag and increases top speed. Through a steering wheel button, or directly through the ECU, you can adjust the angle of the smaller 160-millimeter wing element to decrease aerodynamic resistance. Lowering the angle of attack creates a flatter profile, generating less downforce and drag, allowing the car to reach higher speeds on straights. The system can be deactivated to restore downforce for better stability and cornering. The total adjustment range is 30 degrees, enabling precise aerodynamic fine-tuning.
A wing profile refers to the shape and dimensions of a wing’s cross-section. For the DRS wing, we have selected specific chord lengths for optimal aerodynamic performance. The primary element features a chord length of 320 millimeters, while the secondary, smaller element has a chord length of 160 millimeters.
* The wing span is the distance from one end of the wing to the other and is fully customizable at no extra cost. A longer wing span generates more downforce and stability but also more drag. A shorter wing span creates less downforce and drag, which can increase top speed but reduce stability. The choice depends on the desired balance between downforce and speed.
Endplates are vertical panels attached to the tips of a wing. Their primary function is to reduce wingtip vortices, which enhances aerodynamic efficiency. Our wings are equipped with sleek, flat endplates designed to optimize performance.
Uprights are the vertical supports that attach the wing to the car, positioning and securing it at the desired height and angle to ensure optimal aerodynamic performance.
Our dual-element wing with pneumatic drag reduction system (DRS) comes with top “swan neck” mounts, which do not include adjustment points, resulting in a static larger element. The uprights are precision CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and have undergone FEA analysis to ensure maximum strength while minimizing weight.
** The mount spacing is fully customizable at no additional cost. You can specify your preferred spacing on the purchase page. If you’re unsure of the ideal mount spacing, you can leave the space open, and reach out. We’ll assist you in determining the best option.
